DENTAL EXAMS and CLEANINGS

Full mouth series of x-rays every 3 to 5 years.
BiteWing Check-up x-rays every 12 to 18 months
Use of Lead Apron and High Speed film: minimizes radiation exposure
X-Rays Detect
• Cavities between teeth and under old fillings for signs of decay.
• Check for gum disease and bone loss.
• Check for Abcessed teeth and Impacted teeth, Cysts, and Tumors.
• Examine existing fillings and crowns for root conditions.

CLEANINGS & PREVENTION

• Periodical cleanings remove tartar, and plaque to prevent periodontal disease.
• Teeth Polishing removes stain and any residual plaque left on the teeth.
• Patient Education on brushing techniques and care of the teeth and gums.
• Periodontal evaluation to determine the health of gums and the
supporting structure which is done at every recall appointment.
• Deep cleaning and scaling and root planing when needed.
• Oral cancer screening of the tongue, tissues, throat, gums, etc.
• Evaluate clenching, grinding of teeth for wear. Hard night guards available.
