RESTORATIONS

Amalgam Fillings: A self-hardening mixture in varying percentages of mercury and silver alloy used to repair decayed teeth. It is very durable, resistant to leakage and sensitivity. This type of filling is used primarily in back teeth where it is not visible, since it is not as aesthetic as a composite filling.

Composite Fillings: A white tooth colored filling mixture of powered glass and plastic resin usually hardened by exposure to light. Generally used to fill smaller cavities. Not as durable as amalgam and look very nice. Most patients prefer this type of filling.

Crowns: Commonly called caps are used to restore broken teeth or
to replace very large fillings. Porcelain crowns are made to
match the color of your other teeth and contribute
to a natural, and beautiful smile. Crowns are also placed
on most teeth that have had root canals.

Fixed Bridges: Permanently cemented crowns to replace missing teeth.

Implants: Are artifical roots usually made of titanium that are surgically placed in the jaw. They are great for replacing missing teeth without compromising adjacent teeth and create a natural and beautiful smile.
